Abstract
The article reveals the issues of transformation of social capital and the factors that influenced the key changes in understanding the role of the phenomenon in the formation of qualitatively new social structures and institutions. It is shown that one of the key factors characterizing the modern stage of civilizational development is the rapid growth of social imperatives of the trust, involvement, and co-ownership, which form new systems of interactions and forms of social practices.
