Abstract

National regulation of anti-doping in sport involves the creation and enforcement of laws and policies aimed at preventing athletes from using performance-enhancing substances. That regulation is critical to maintaining the integrity of sport, promoting fair competition, and protecting the health of athletes. Well-known international structures such as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport guide national efforts by providing standardized rules and facilitating cooperation between countries. Overall, national regulation of anti-doping reflects a complex interplay of legal, ethical, and cultural factors that require ongoing adaptation and cooperation among the parties concerned to address the persistent challenges posed by doping in sport. The article considers key aspects of state regulation of anti-doping activities in sports. It analyzes the main legal acts regulating the fight against doping at the national and international levels. Particular attention is paid to the mechanisms of interaction between the government agencies with WADA and national anti-doping organizations. The paper studies modern approaches to the formation of anti-doping policy, including preventive measures, testing systems and sanctions for violations. The experience of various countries in creating an effective anti-doping system is considered. Recommendations are offered for improving the legislative framework and strengthening coordination between parties involved in the field of anti-doping regulation.
