The author analyzes indicators characterizing the Russian banking sector.
As a rule, in the course of the banking system development it always is influenced by many macroeconomic factors among which the degree of development of commodity-monetary relations, social economic order, social orientation and purpose, a number of legislative foundations and acts and the general concept of the bank’s role in the economy have a significant impact. Further prospects are assessed and possible measures for the development of the Russian banking system are formulated.
